On this page we will be reporting the work that is currently
underway. Currently the work in progress can be summarised as:
Information collection
The study is building on reliable information that already
exists from various sources.
Developing the options
The options are now being developed in greater detail and more
information about the options will be added to the web site over the next few
months.
Four generic options are being tested. These are cycling and
walking, highways, public transport and road pricing. A combination of these
options is also being tested, as well as the base case, which is the existing
transport plus the improvements proposed by the CHUMMS study. (CHUMMS is the
Cambridge-Huntingdon Multi-Modal Study funded by the Department for Transport.
For further details, check out the presentation
at our first seminar.)
The effects on transport are being assessed for years 2011 and 2016 and the
effects on land use for 2011 to 2016 and 2021.

up with innovative ideas. Do you have some suggestions to make?
